Andy Dexterity
Most known for his role as The Mayor of Wiggle Town on The Wiggles and his TED talk: Physical Communication is Universal, Andy most recently received a four-chair-turn on television show The Voice, where he was the first performer in the 10 year history of the show to sing with their body.
Andy headlined Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition with The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and brought each of the artworks to life physical poetry.
Andy founded and choreographed the Sydney Auslan Ensemble for Handel’s Messiah with the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Co-Artistic director of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras parades alongside Kate Gaul, Andy also choreographed the 20th anniversary of RENT and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown for The Hayes Theatre Company and The World Netball Cup Opening Ceremony.
Andy has worked in Hollywood on projects with Cardi B, Ed Sheeran, Tyra Banks, Tate McCrae and Nike.
As a performer, Andy played roles in Urinetown for Melbourne Theatre Company and Sydney Theatre Company, The Australian premiere of Altarboyz, Topol’s Fiddler on the Roof, Hair, Shout!, Bye Bye Birdie, High Society for The Production Company, SHOOSH! You’re a good man Charlie Brown for The Hayes Theatre Co. The Love for Three Oranges and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Opera Australia.
