Bridget Patterson
Soprano, Bridget Patterson completed a Bachelor of Music in voice performance and Advanced Diploma of Opera at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Whilst studying, Bridget was awarded the prestigious Helen Myers scholarship for vocal excellence. She graduated the Conservatorium with a High Distinction.
She has appeared with Opera Australia, in their Sydney Harbour productions of Carmen, La Boheme and La Traviata (2020). As a concert soloist, Bridget made her 2019 debut at Sydney Opera House in Hooked on Classics for Metropolis Touring which subsequently toured nationally. She appeared on stage as a vocalist for Hans Zimmer in his 2017 Revealed Live tour (MJR), ABBA Spectacular (MJR) and Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy (MJR).
Bridget has featured in Sydney’s Carols in the Domain from 2018-2022. Nominated as one of the “Young stars of Australian Opera” this has been broadcast on the Seven Network.
Other notable roles include Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (MMS), Susan in Company (Oxford on Limelight), Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd (MUSE), Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (Sydney Conservatorium of Music), Amy in Little Women (SCM), Miss Pinkerton in The old maid and the thief (SCM), Fidalma in Il Matrimonio il segreto (SCM), Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld (SCM) and created the role of Annie Lock in the world premiere of Anne Boyd’s Daisy Bates at Ooldea (SCM).Bridget’s concert repertoire includes Mozart’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, Handel’s Messiah and masses by Beethoven and Haydn.
Bridget is currently touring NSW with Precedent Productions as one of five performers for the local business awards.
