Theresa Nguyen

Theresa’s international theatre career spans more than two decades. As well as extensive work in the US, she has worked in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Most recently, she had the dual role of Resident Director and Dance Supervisor of the Abu Dhabi season of the International Tour of The Lion King (Michael Cassel Group). Other resident credits include Resident Dance Supervisor of the Australian and International Tours of The Lion King (Disney Theatrical and Michael Cassel Group, respectively). Theresa has staged countless media and press events for Disney Theatrical (The Lion King, Frozen).

As a performer she has appeared on some of the world’s most prestigious stages including Radio City Music Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, and The Kennedy Center, and has performed featured dance roles in Cats, Saturday Night Fever, South Pacific, and The Lion King on Broadway.  Her television credits include The Emmy Awards and Dancing with The Stars.  Theresa has had the privilege of performing the original choreography of dance greats: Jerome Robbins‘ West Side Story, Gillian Lynne’s Cats, Garth Fagan’s Lion King, and understands the responsibility of her role as resident to maintain the integrity of the original direction and choreography.

Theresa hails from Boston, Massachusetts, and is a child of the first wave of Vietnamese refugees seeking a new life in the United States. As a first generation Vietnamese-American, Miss Saigon holds a special place in Theresa’s heart.
