Doug Eyre

Principal Bassoon

Douglas Eyre holds the position of Principal Bassoon and Section Leader in the Opera Australia Orchestra having first joined the Orchestra in 1986. Doug started his musical studies at the age of eleven and under the tutelage of John Noble and Gordon Skinner went on to complete a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Fun fact: Doug enjoys gold mining and fishing.
