Samuel Dundas

Samuel Dundas, a member of Victorian Opera’s Artist Development Program and subsequently Opera Australia’s Moffatt Oxenbould Young Artist Program, now performs leading roles with all the Australian opera companies, New Zealand Opera and appears with all the major Australian symphony orchestras and choral societies.

Most recent engagements include the title role in the world premiere of Richard Mills’ new opera Galileo for Perth Festival and Victorian Opera; Cave (Eucalyptus) Perth and Brisbane Festivals and Victorian Opera; Wolfram (Tannhäuser) and Marcello (La Boheme) for Opera Australia; the Count (Capriccio) for Victorian Opera; Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) for Opera Queensland; title role (Voss) for State Opera. On the concert platform: Donner (Das Rheingold) with Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s 9th symphony with Auckland Philharmonia and West Australian Symphony, Mozart’s Requiem for Tasmanian Symphony, Faure’s Requiem with the Tasmanian and West Australian Symphony Orchestras, Carmina Burana for Adelaide Symphony, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle for Festival of Voices
