Born Auckland, New Zealand. Awarded NZ Arts Council scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, UK studying with Trevor Wye and Patricia Morris. Further study at Banff School of Fine Arts with Robert Aitken. Winner of Banff Concerto Competition 1984. Lived in UK until 1990 working extensively with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony, London Mozart Players, Glyndebourne Touring Opera and Kent Opera. Moved to Sydney in 1991. Worked as Guest Principal Flute with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Sydney Symphony. Recorded with various chamber music ensembles and duo repetoire for ABC Radio and Radio NZ. Founder member of Nexus Ensemble - Musica Viva tour. CD of flute and piano repetoire Intimate Landscapes released in 2001 on Atoll label.
