Received Mo Award for 'Operatic Performance of the Year' - La bohème, 1990; 'Prix de la Jeunesse' for 'Best Film' Cannes Film Festival; AFI Award for 'Production Design' for Strictly Ballroom, 1992; British Academy Film and Television Award for Production Design, 1993. Sydney Theatre Critics Circle Award, 1993, for 'Best Design' in Opera for A Midsummer Night's Dream
