Kim Walker



Background: Kim began his dance training with his mother, Margaret Walker AM, and began his career with the Aboriginal and Islander Dance Theatre in 1976. From 1980-1990 he was Principal Dancer with the Sydney Dance Company. Kim has worked as a freelance choreographer and director with Opera Australia, Melbourne and Sydney Theatre Companies as well as extensive choreographic work for television commercials, musicals and music film clips. Kim has been a member of the Theatre Board of the Australia Council, the Dance Committee of the NSW Ministry for the Arts and the Hothouse Theatre Artistic Directorate. He was awarded the Sydney Myer Performing Arts Award for his individual contribution to the arts and since 1998 has been the Artistic Director of The Flying Fruit Fly Circus
