Has appeared in all the great opera houses of the world including the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Royal Opera House, La Scala, Paris Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper. Highly acclaimed for her portrayals of the titlorne roles in Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Jenufa and Kátya Kabanová; the three lead soprano roles in Il trittico, Madame Lidoine: Dialogues des Carmélites, Nedda: Pagliacci, Leonora: Il trovatore, Marguerite: Faust. Recently created the role of Leslie Crosbie in Paul Moravec’s The Letter (Santa Fe Opera). Other world premières have included Roberta Alden in Tobias Picker’s An American Tragedy (Metropolitan Opera), title role in Tobias Picker’s Emmeline (Santa Fe Opera) and Love Simpson in Carlisle Floyd’s Cold Sassy Tree (Houston Grand Opera)


Her performances of Madama Butterfly and Peter Grimes at the Metropolitan Opera were also seen in movie theatres across the world as part of The Met: Live in HD series
