Roger acted in, and stage managed, productions for Sydney University Dramatic Society and was an assistant director on five short film productions for the Australian Film, Television & Radio School.

As an Assistant Director for Opera Australia, Roger has worked on productions of Romeo and Juliet, JuliusCaesar, Cosi fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, The Turn of the Screw, Der Rosenkavalier and The Meistersingers of Nuremburg and was revival director for the 2004 Sydney seasons of The Marriage of Figaro and Der Rosenkavalier.

In 2005, he was revival director for Opera Queensland’s seasons of The Turn of the Screw and The Marriage of Figaro.

He has also worked in various technical capacities on Les Miserables, Love Letters, 42nd Street, Blood Brothers, Five Guys Named Moe, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story and for Sydney Theatre Company, Pinchgut Opera, Sydney Festival ,Theatre of Image and Network Ten.  He was assistant director on the world premiere production of What the World Needs Now and the inaugural Ozopera national tours of The Magic Flute.
