The members of the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra (AOBO) form one of the busiest and most versatile orchestras in Australia.
In a typical year, the Sydney-based Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra will give some 175 performances of more than a dozen operas, and more than 80 performances of four ballets.
The Orchestra will work with a dozen different conductors and perform repertoire ranging from Monteverdi to Berg. It also appears in gala concerts and special events such as Mazda Opera in the Domain and the New Year’s Eve Gala Concert, both in Sydney.
